Sports Physicals

Mayo Clinic Health System will again be offering free Sports Physicals to athletes entering grades 7-12 for the 2021-22 school year.  The dates are August 3-5, 5:30-8:00 pm.  A Sign-Up Genius link is now available with the dates for families to sign up.  Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and no walk-ups will be allowed.  Sports Physicals are required every three years in order to participate in sports.  Parents can check their students’ sports physical date in Infinite Campus under "Health and Screenings". 

With limited slots and the possibility of students not having the opportunity to attend one of the designated evenings (no walk-ups allowed), we encourage any student that needs to update their sports-physical, to set up an appointment and get in as soon as possible.

Students may have sports physicals completed at the following facilities:

• Owatonna - Mayo Clinic Health System 
• Owatonna Compcare Urgent Care
• Cedar Chiropractic
• Bridges Chiropractic Health Clinic 
• Balanced Health Care (Formerly McGregor Chiropractic

All Owatonna students must have an updated sports physical on file every 3 years. For students who attended OMS, that typically means a physical is necessary prior to the Sophomore year (as most OMS students received a physical in 7th Grade). For students who attended SMS, that typically means a physical is required prior to the Freshman and Senior years (as many SMS students received a physical in 6th Grade).
